🦅🐂CRYSTAL PALACE 1-2 RB LEIPZIG
Narrow scoreline doesn't quite reflect a game where Leipzig was relentless at carving through Palace centrally, without ever feeling like they're trying hard.
Very fit team. Game was still 1-1 after the two early goals but it was only a matter of when Leipzig would get in front

🐂⬜️🟥For RBL I especially liked
17 Amos GERTH who despite not being a juggernaut, received every long ball on the floor and in the air to lay it off
11 Nuha JATTA is a train on the right wing, probably 6ft1 and finished the game upfront
26 Mika WALTHER didn't look like much but scrapped a lot of second balls which is key to the way RBL play
15 Faik SAKAR put good inswinging crosses, easy on the ball, good carrier.
🐂🟦🟥For Palace
11 Jesse DERRY (son of) seen in the FAYC last season is really the one that can change an attack with a flick or trying to take on people. Some of Lingard's separation movement and Grealish's looks. Scored the equaliser with a fine finish
10 Malcom EBIOWEI has flashes, good ideas at times. Still doesn't find his rythm albeit was the one that could've changed the situation around in second half. Still a bit of an enigma but football careers are long
9 Ademola OLA ADEBOMI: I'm not as high as many about him, I felt he was often a tad late and reactive to move when I saw him last season. Has been improving back to goal to hold up play but still not sure where (if) I'd put him on the EFL tiers.
7 Rio CARDINES: I didn't know him. Did a defensive winger shift pretty much all game, why not
8 Jack WELLS MORRISON kept it ticking in midfield, in the Dewsbury Hall type of left footed CM.
6 Hindolo MUSTAPHA did a bit of everything but tried to put some dynamism and change of gear, win it back, carry a bit and pass. Played with a knock.
Moulden came close to save the pen (1-2), Grante (RB) had a few decent first touches and turns. CB pairing tried to contain Leipzig's forwards back to goal.
